About the Project

SAFE ROADS

Protecting human lives and wildlife 🦌💚

Every day, vehicle collisions with wild animals occur on Czech roads. These accidents can have serious consequences not only for the animals involved, but also for drivers and their passengers. Behind every accident, there may be fear, pain, loss of life, and significant financial damage.

We believe that many of these collisions can be prevented. That is why the Safe Roads project was created by PURE HELP, z. s., a nonprofit organization.

Why Was the Safe Roads Project Created?

Collisions with wildlife are not simply unfortunate accidents. They occur more frequently on certain sections of roads, and these are precisely the high-risk areas we want to focus on.

Our goal is to help identify dangerous road sections, raise awareness of these locations, and support preventive measures that can reduce the risk of collisions between vehicles and wildlife.

We want to bring together individuals, businesses, experts, municipalities, and other organizations that care about road safety and the protection of nature.

What Do We Want to Change Together?

• Identify high-risk areas – Use available data on road accidents and wildlife collisions to gradually build an overview of dangerous road sections.

• Support prevention – Promote the implementation of suitable preventive measures, such as scent-based wildlife deterrents, where they may be effective.

• Raise awareness – Inform drivers about potential dangers and emphasize the importance of caution, especially in areas where wildlife is frequently present.

• Bring people together – Seek support from businesses, municipalities, experts, donors, and everyone who wants to help make roads safer.

• Help protect lives – Strive to ensure that people return home safely and that wild animals have a better chance of surviving.

How Can You Help?

Without the support of people and businesses who care about this issue, it is difficult to make progress in prevention. Every contribution can help bring us closer to implementing another preventive measure.

There are several ways you can help:

• Make a financial donation to the Safe Roads project.

• Support the project as a business or organization.

• Share our posts and help spread awareness.

• Report high-risk areas where collisions with wildlife occur.

Your support helps us create the conditions for practical preventive measures. We are committed to providing transparent information about how funds are used and respecting the trust of every donor.

Every Life Matters

We know that not every accident can be prevented. Nevertheless, we believe it is worth seeking solutions that can reduce the risk of collisions. Even a single preventive measure can be an important step towards safer roads.

We do not want to stop at simply raising awareness of the problem. We want to help find solutions and gradually contribute to putting them into practice.
